Annie P. - Middle School Girls Basketball
“Annie is always working on ways to become a better player, during and outside of practice. She is a very smart defensive player and is trying to find her offensive game. When she does, she'll be a huge asset for the lady Trojans for years to come. She does whatever is asked of her and has been pushed hard to be ready to fill in on varsity when called upon. She is very coachable and a great teammate. Your future is bright Annie, keep up the good work.” - Coach Minks & Coach Kreutzer
Rylee F. - Middle School Girls Basketball
“Rylee is a very coachable player, leaves it all on the court and she is one you build a successful program around. She is a good teammate and is working on being more of a vocal leader on and off the court, as well as working on seeing the floor better. Rylee is a good shooter and thrives on competition. With her fine tuning some of her skills and being able to take control of the court, she has a bright future ahead of her in High School as a four-year starter. We appreciate your hard work, Rylee, keep it up.” - Coach Minks & Coach Kreutzer
Alex C. - Middle School Boys Basketball
“I would like to nominate Alex Chavez for the Trojan Wall of Fame for his effort and attitude in Junior High Boys' Basketball. Throughout the three seasons of coaching Alex, I have enjoyed having him on the team. Alex is coachable and seeks to improve in basketball. This season, Alex has grown as a player by being more aggressive and confident on the court. He is a good rebounder and has scored more points than in any other season. He also has shown the ability to be more of a team leader. He takes his responsibility to his teammates seriously by working hard in practice and not getting off task. I have enjoyed and appreciated watching Alex be more focused and determined to make himself and our team better. Good job, Alex!” - Coach Lowther
Fito G - High School Boys Basketball
“Fito came to Stafford never having played basketball and has worked hard to drastically improve, whether in or out of practice. Fito is the comedic relief of the team and everywhere else, who always keeps the mood where it needs to be!" - Coach Smith
Jimi O. - Student of the Month
“Jimi has shown dedication to his studies and a desire to continue his education. He has just completed an industry level NCCER Core certification in Carpentry I and OSHA 10 training certification. He is also pursuing forklift certification, as well as CDL training and certification. Jimi is always in a great mood and shows so much potential. If he sticks with it, he will be a tremendous boss to work for one day! ” - Mr. Mock
“Jimi has successfully taken online dual-credit courses through Barton Community College. Jimi can think critically and problem-solve independently. Jimi's learning is presented clearly and concisely, showcasing his excellent writing skills and ability to synthesize complex information. In addition to being a self-motivated learner, Jimi is also a team player. He possesses strong communication skills and can work well with others.” - Mrs. Lowther
“I enjoy having Jimi in my culinary classes! Although he is usually pretty quiet, that doesn't mean he isn't taking in and processing everything that happens around him. Jimi is a leader - he tends to lead by example and is very intentional in his actions. I enjoy having Jimi as part of the ProStart Team - his determination and willingness to put in the time and effort it takes to be successful was evident by the positive comments received from the judges at the competition. I appreciate Jimi's willingness to pitch in and help get things done - just a couple of examples include helping set up tables in the Commons for the teachers on an early release day and helping clean up the gym after the Homecoming ceremony. I enjoy Jimi's quiet sense of humor - even when it's at my expense. I admire his willingness to help others, even when he doesn't have to. Of course, I enjoy his occasional dance moves and ability to sing/rap along with the songs on Pandora - even if it's throwback music/oldies from my era. I am confident that Jimi has the drive, determination, and competitive nature that will help him achieve any goal that he sets for himself!” - Mrs. Unruh
“One of the things I appreciate most about Jimi is his positive leadership and kindness to others, which is something his peers must also admire about him, given his homecoming kingship! Congratulations Jimi! Please continue to display that positive attitude and compassion once you leave high school, too! The world sure needs it.” - Mrs. Johnson
