Culinary Essentials students have been learning Knife Safety and the various Knife Cuts used throughout the culinary program (Batonnet, Julienne, Brunoise, Small, Medium, and Large Dice, etc.). Cheesy Potato Soup is the culmination of this unit. Today, the largest class of culinary students since the program began (17) worked together to prepare the potato soup and bread bowls. The group worked together very well to finish the lab, as well as completed all dishes and laundry within the 51-minute class time.

Our high school football team takes on Kinsley tonight at home. Senior night will be at 6:45pm followed by kick-off at 7:00.

Culinary 1 students are reviewing cooking methods - David D demonstrated how to prepare Chicken Fried Rice - a skill he learned from Kua Dickson - several other students prepared the dish as well. Everyone who sampled the finished product thought it was delicious! We are thankful that Kua shared her talents with David!

Hey parents!
We started our review on body safety and cybersafety today for a couple classes. During the course of conversation, several students mentioned spending time on TikTok, SnapChat, and other networking apps/sites, as well as having talked to or sending pictures of themselves to a stranger online. Did you know that TikTok and SnapChat are the number one apps that predators use to solicit minors?
So just a friendly reminder to please abide by social networking age limits (TikTok - teen users, SnapChat - teen users ), monitor your child's technology use, set parental controls, and have conversations with your children about safe/unsafe behavior online.

Our Trojan middle school volleyball is now 11-1, and 9-0 in the league!!! Tonight was our 8th grade recognition night. We are so proud of these 8th grade girls and their hard work this year!
