Today some of the middle/high school students completed the mySAEBRs. We use this screening tool twice/year to assess for social-emotional or behavioral risk in students and identify learning needs so we can implement additional supports, as needed.

You might notice our animation students spread around the building making the most of the natural light. They're exploring sequencing and problem solving while creating flip books this week.

Culinary students are evaluating both dried herbs & spices and fresh herbs this week. Students describe what the herb or spice looks like, smells like, tastes like, and what foods it could be paired with. Today a combination of fresh rosemary, thyme, basil, and chives was sprinkled over boiled, smashed new potatoes, then olive oil and melted butter were drizzled on the potatoes, then roasted until crispy in a 400-degree oven. Most of the fresh herbs were harvested from Mrs. Unruh's herb garden.

PK Parents: Drop off and pick up are at the back gate on Stafford Street. Please, drive north on Buckeye then turn east on Stafford. Students can be dropped off with teachers/aides at the gate starting at 7:50am. Students will be picked up using the same directions and gate for pick up starting at 3:10pm. Please, do not get out of your vehicle so that we can keep traffic moving. Parents with students in K-12 can continue around the block to pick up the rest of your students on time. K-5 release at 3:15pm. 6-12 release at 3:20pm.

School is back in session and we're geared up to start our new social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum for the middle and high school! If you recall, we are now using Suite360. This week for Suite360, 6-12th grade will be getting an introduction to SEL: What is SEL, what does it mean, why is it important? Students will learn the five main areas of SEL and reflect on which areas they feel confident in and which they feel less confident in and get to choose one in which they think it would be important to focus on. To learn more about what your students are learning this week, please view the appropriate newsletter, using the link below --
