Hello everyone! My name is Shelly Berens. I have been teaching in Stafford for the last twenty-one years. Currently I am the Middle/High School Music teacher. Graduating from Sterling College, I moved to Stafford in 2000. Raising my four children here in Stafford has been a blessing, and my wonderful husband David has been a huge supporter of Stafford Schools. While workings here, I have taught 2nd grade, 4th grade, Elementary Music and MS/HS Music . I also am the director for the Stafford County Learning Center. I LOVE STAFFORD! My favorite part of the job is the relationships that I build with the students. They have a very special place in my heart.

Hello parents and community!
It's November already which means we're learning about a new character trait across the school, PK-12. This month with Core Essentials, we're learning about "contentment". What a perfect character trait for the month of November which is all about being thankful!
For our lessons, contentment is being defined as "deciding to be okay with what you have. Contentment means to be at ease in your situation, body and mind." To learn more about what kinds of things we'll be talking about in our lessons or how you can help your student(s) at home or in the community, take a look at the attached newsletters!

A HUGE thank-you to the parents and relatives of Stafford schools, Ampride, and Paul's. We were able to raise over $1,000 in donations for book scholarships and new books for Stafford. Also, thank you to Brenda Minnis, Destiny Talbot, and Carisa Hearn for their assistance in the Book Fair. It was a huge success and we will see you in the Spring for another!
